The World Geo Teachers had this awesome assignment planned for you guys this year. Welp...there won't be a tournament this year. However, we are still going to do this assignment using last year's bracket teams-and calling it MARCH SADNESS. You will be working on this until Monday. I am posting the directions below- 1. Look at the Excel Spreadsheet titled March Sadness below to find the 2 teams you have been assigned. You will see your name and another student next to you. That is because we had to assign the same teams to a student in 4th period and 6th period. 2. You will write down your 2 teams. You will then download the March Madness Template. 3. You will answer the questions about your teams and fill in the template as you go. Even though we are using last years teams, you will be researching this years roster. 4. You will put the players name and find the distance between their hometown and the college they play basketball for. You can use GoogleMaps, or some other app to find this answer. 5. You will then search for the recruiting budget for your assigned schools. You may need to dig for this one. My point in having you look for this is to see how much more money the big schools have to spend than the smaller ones. And how this amount of money translates to the success of the program. 6. Lastly, you will find the average distance of ALL the players from their hometown to their college. 7. You will save the March Madness template with your answers and submit it to me Monday by 5:00pm. 8. I AM SO INCREDIBLY PROUD OF HOW HARD YOU HAVE WORKED THESE LAST 3 DAYS!!!! Friday- Work on March Sadness Project
